Kindle>Real Books

I see on Tumblr everyday, how they hate on ereaders (Kindle or Nook) and that real books are always better but is that really true?

I understand how you’re trying to preserve something that has brought about such happiness and imaginary freedom to the minds of humans for centuries but you must remember one thing, the world is always moving forward and there’s nothing you can do to stop that.

Doesn’t mean that reading on the Kindle, will deprive you of the enjoyment of reading a real book. Yes, you say “But there’s the smell of the pages, how organic it is, the feel of it.” Well, is that so? Guess asthma kinds of sums it up then.

I am not an environmentalist myself, but do you ever think of the trees that have been cut down to make that paper of that 500 page John Grisham you’re reading? Lame rebutal but very true. Look up from the computer screen now and look over at your shelf. Count the ultra thick novels you have. Yes, that’s paper people and paper is obviously from, you guessed it, TREES.

I am not saying buying a Kindle with its plastics and mercury is the best, but its no less, better in a sense. Plus, it doesn’t hog up space in your already cramp room. (Unless you’re rich and has a room the size of Pluto) then yeah

Lets just see the Kindle as the next step in books, i mean, the future is coming, and there’s nothing we can do to impede that. Whatever heritage you’re trying to preserve, you’re just ruining it. Do you ever see yourself MAILING someone a letter or would you rather go online and send them an easy Email that takes only a few seconds? Ask yourself that.
